PUBLIC ART: MIA INTL AIRPORT x BRITISH AIRWAYS LOUNGE
/Three large sculptural works have been acquired by, and created for, Miami-Dade Art in Public Places at the Miami International Airport. Companion works “Wander” and “Wonder,” and large stand alone work “Feels Like Home” are on permanent display at the British Airways Lounge, beginning December 2025.
What initially appears as a simple light work in the display planters, these unique text works are the first of their kind, and utilize ceiling mirrors to reveal subtle messages as viewers cross the space and sit to dine. “Like concrete towers rising from the wild Florida nature, these works are a reflection of exploration and travel. When positioned just right, the messages can be seen in a fleeting, ephemeral glance, much like the warm sensations felt when wanderlust takes hold…”
