I had an incredible experience at Penland School of Craft this summer! I’m totally self taught with textiles, so I was dying to get some time in with some real weavers and learn traditional basketry techniques to take back to the studio. What an inspiring place… so much talent and so much community, I can’t wait to go back.

Club is pleased to announce Jessy Nite’s first solo exhibition with the gallery entitled MULTITUDES. As an internationally recognized artist, Jessy Nite, has created an exclusive body of work that marries accessibility within her ongoing formal oeuvre. Known for her large-scale public art and private commissions, this show will feature artworks that are a distillation of these previous projects, including limited edition releases and small original works based in Nite’s signature use of color and custom made typography.
Happy to announce my participation in this group exhibition of Public Artwork: No Vacancy. “In Your Eyes, I Come Alive” will be installed on the Avalon Hotel, an Art Deco gem on the iconic Ocean Drive.
The City of Miami Beach has partnered with the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, on No Vacancy, Miami Beach. This year is the largest to date, presenting 12 artists creating site-specific works at 12 iconic Miami Beach hotels. The installations will run Thursday, November 17 - December 8, 2022. $35,000 in prizes will be awarded to two artists, incl a $10,000 Public Prize by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and a $25,000 Juried Prize awarded by a jury of local art professionals.
